About Us

The idea for Coastal Occult started in 2019. I love beach combing and collecting fossils, shells, driftwood, bones, and butterflies from the shores of my home state North Carolina. I collect all of these items ethically and humanely from nature.

I’ve struggled throughout the years to find my aesthetic in places outside of my own home, so the idea of creating items for others who might have a similar aesthetic started simmering in my brain and I haven’t stopped bringing it up since.

I’ve been doing a lot of talking about it and this year I found myself in a spot to stop talking and just do it. I really enjoy making jewelry and I have a ton of ideas for other projects that I want to make happen. I hope you enjoy my little shop and stick around to watch this small businesses journey.
